"The Group of Popular Music of the University of Minho (GMP) is the first of all the groups of Minho’ academy to be established, back in 1984. O Grupo de Música Popular da Universidade do Minho focus its activities in the promotion of the rich and long tradition on Portuguese folk music. Traditional song are gathered across the region, eventually re-arranged, and interpreted by the group’ choir associated with the simplicity of the sounds of traditional popular instruments."

"Our love for music, in special for the "Fado de Coimbra", allied to the desire to maintain alive our academic past and traditions lead us to create the Group of Fados and Serenatas of the University of the Minho (Grupo de Fados e Serenatas da Universidade do Minho). Currently the group is formed by former and last year students of the University of the Minho: Fernando Faria (Portuguese guitar), Sergio Lucas (Portuguese guitar), Miguel Rego (voice), Pedro Paredes (viola) and Jorge Pinto (viola)."

Including cruise Porto-Pinhão (a rather beautiful region in upper Douro where many of the most famous Port wine houses have their quintas -estates-) and return from Pinhão to Porto by train (CP' prestigious historical trains)

Transfer Braga-Porto-Braga by bus.

Lunch on-board included

Departure from Braga early morning (8:30 to be confirmed) and return late afternoon (arrival expected before 20:00)
